A pledge to protect children from violence will be the highlight of this year’s Chitranjali Nursery Festival.

The 2013 edition of the festival, probably the biggest of its kind in Asia, will be held at the Tagore Centenary Hall in Kozhikode on December 9 and 10. The programme is being organised by the Chitranjali art and cultural organisation for the 32{+n}{+d}year and it aims to encourage the artistic talents of tiny tots in the State.

The pledge will be administered by Mayor A.K. Premajam at 9 a.m. on December 9. Parents, teachers and organisers will take the pledge to save the children from possible mental and physical violence, a press release said.
