KOZHIKODE: The Federal Bank on Tuesday opened a new facility for payment of BSNL's telephone bills. Under an agreement with the BSNL, the bank will collect payments of landline telephones, Cell One mobile phone and WLL phones through the "Fed e-pay system".

With the inauguration of the Fed e-pay in the Kozhikode Secondary Switching Area (SSA), facility to make payments of BSNL bills will be available throughout the State.

A one-time registration is needed to make use of the facility. If the customer registers with the "auto pay system", the bank will make payments deducting the amount needed from the customer's account.

The payment can be also arranged from the residence or office of the customer over telephone by dialling 0484-2630999.

Telephone bills in the Kerala Circle of the BSNL can be paid from the subscriber's account with any branch of the Federal Bank in the country.

email alerts will be sent to the customer when payment is made or if payment could not be made for want of sufficient balance in the customer's account.

In Kozhikode, the facility was inaugurated on Tuesday by V. Sundar, General Manager, BSNL-Kozhikode SSA, by issuing a registration form to N.K. Mohammed Ali, managing director, Parisons Group of companies, at a meeting presided over by Abraham M. Jacob, Deputy General Manager, Federal Bank.
