Thrissur: The district administration has developed a network to provide information about job opportunities

to those who lost jobs abroad.

Thrissur Development Network (TDN) and a portal Thrissur Outreach Support System would update the job seekers on the latest opportunities in the job market, the collector V.K. Baby said.

These facilities were part of the district’s efforts to rehabilitate those who had returned to Thrissur district from abroad owing to the global financial crisis.

VS to inaugurate

The facilities would be inaugurated by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on Saturday.

The network (thrissur services.gov.in) or (thrissur.gov.in) also would provide facility for the job seekers to communicate with each other.

The banks would offer financial counselling for those who want to start a business. The authorities also would take steps to simplify the procedures to start new ventures, the collector said.
