A panel discussion on ‘Building partnerships for improved waste management’ and a workshop on ‘Effective waste management’ will be the key attractions of a social conclave on ‘Waste management’ being organised by the social service group of the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K) on its campus on Sunday.

The workshop will be aimed at a group of National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers invited from various colleges in and around the district, while the panel discussion will have IIM-K students and the NSS volunteers as the audience, the organisers said.

The panel discussion will have representatives from the State government, corporate sector, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and academia and subject matter experts, and discuss possible collaborative measures that can be undertaken to achieve improved waste management practices.
