A general body meeting of the All Kerala Document Writers and Scribes' Association will be held at the C.G. Parameswaran Nagar (Chandragiri Auditorium) here at 9 a.m. on Friday.

K.S. Eepan, president, and S. Krishnaswami Pillai, general secretary, told presspersons here on Wednesday that the meet would discuss various issues including ensuring job security for document writers while implementing new policies of the Central and State governments in the Registration Department and  assuring transparency in the services of the sub-registar offices.

The meet would also raise the demands including rectifying the discrepancies in the welfare fund, implementing the declared pension project, and reserving the document-writing job for the document writers instead allowing the retired hands from the Judiciary, Revenue and Registration departments to do the work.

All the offices of the document writers and scribes in the State would be remaining closed on Friday in connection with the meet, they said.

M.V. Sreyamskumar, MLA, would inaugurate the meet.
