The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has invited tenders for the second lot of Kochi Metro’s major civil works — for constructing the elevated viaduct from the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kaloor up to Pettah and 10 stations on the stretch.

It had invited tenders for the Aluva-Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium stretch on January 10, within two days of the formal announcement that it would implement the 25-km-long Aluva-M.G. Road-Tripunithura Pettah project.

Project deadline

The prompt invitation of tenders is aimed at adhering to the project deadline of 2016, and to prevent cost over-runs and hassles to members of the public.
