THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Fourteen service organisations have protested against the move to take disciplinary action against K.P.Gireesh, office-bearer of the pro-INTUC(I) Kerala Electricity Employees Confederation, for writing a letter to Electricity Minister A.K. Balan drawing his attention to the indiscriminate transfer of INTUC(I) workers in the Electricity Board on the directions from his office.

In a joint statement here on Monday these organisations described the move as an onslaught on organisational freedom. They said office-bearers of the organisations had the freedom to convey their views to any person in authority.
