THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government would soon hold direct talks with Tecom authorities on the contentious issues relating to the proposed SmartCity project in Kochi, Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan said here on Wednesday.

Briefing reporters after the weekly Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister said the Tecom authorities would be coming to the State for the discussions.

He declined to join issue with Leader of the Opposition Oommen Chandy on the disputed issues and said the discussions with the Tecom group had nothing to do with the crisis-hit Dubai World.
