The government has issued an order directing headmasters to facilitate direct withdrawal of salary by teachers and non-teaching staff in aided schools. An official pressnote quoting Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb said treasuries would be informed of the direction. The change would come into force from April. The Spark software would incorporate provisions to calculate the salary and perquisites of teachers and employees. — Special Correspondent
