The Thrissur Vigilance Court on Friday ordered an investigation into the managing committees of the Guruvayur Devaswom from 1996.
The investigation was ordered on a complaint filed by Janakeeya Vedi Secretary Krishnakumar.
In a complaint he alleged that the managing committees caused a loss of Rs. 4.75 lakh to the devaswom by depositing the amount to the Kerala Electricity Board to replace electric cables belonging to private parties.
There are 59 accused in the case including Devaswom Executive Engineer O. Sankaranarayanan and Devaswom Chairman T.V. Chandramohan.
The Thrissur Vigilance DYSP has been asked to submit the investigation report before August 26.
