The Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA) has strongly opposed the decision of the Central government and the Medical Council of India to allow foreign medical degree holders to practice in India without any screening test. KGMOA office-bearers in a statement here on Saturday said that the decision would create “chaos” in the medical sector and thereby risk the health of the citizens. No country in the world allowed foreign graduates to take up medical practice without a screening test in their respective nations, they said.
