Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Kozhikode District Deaf Association at 10.30 a.m. on September 25 at the Town Hall.

M.K. Raghavan, MP, will deliver the keynote address and C. Moinkutty, MLA, will give away the prizes. ‘‘The deaf are capable of anything but hearing' is the theme of the celebrations. A seminar on ‘Deaf – contemporary problems and solutions' will be held at the Town Hall later. Kerala Federation of the Blind president C.K. Aboobakkar will be the moderator at the seminar.

Noyeba Simive Cynthia, a women empowerment leader from South Africa, will be the chief guest at a get-together that will be held at 2 p.m., a press release said. — Staff Reporter
