Employees from Technopark firms visit the event
Operational excellence was the name of the game at the atrium of the Bhavai building at Technopark on Wednesday.
And showcasing this excellence were the staff of Allianz; the occasion was OPEX Day, the second of its kind put together by the company.
Visitors to the event — close to 2,000 of them — were greeted by stalls put up Allianz employees from around the globe depicting various aspects of the company’s business.
According to a press note issued by Allianz, more than 600 employees from various Technopark companies were among those who dropped by the stalls, both in the competitive and the non-competitive categories.
The press note quoted Allianz managing director Rakesh Gupta as saying that the company was on an OPEX localisation drive by which it plans to make operational excellence a way of life at Allianz, Thiruvananthapuram.
In addition to employees of Technopark firms, a delegation of students from Germany, on a visit to the city as part of an exchange programme, were also visitors to the event.
“The theme for the day was inspired by the Automobile industry where continuous improvement is the order of the day. OPEX being about continuous improvement, the various stalls were depicting continuous improvement using automobile industry examples visually,” the press note said.
