Eight out of 21 affiliated engineering colleges of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) have bagged pass percentage above 60 in the final year B.Tech examination held in April.

Toc H Institute of Science and Technology at Arakunnam emerged first by registering a pass percentage of 72.95 followed by College of Engineering, Chengannur (69.79) and Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara (69.33).

Others who bagged above 60 per cent pass include College of Engineering, Adoor (65.47); College of Engineering, Poonjar (60.68); College of Engineering, Karunagappally (62.93); College of Engineering, Cherthala (67.48); and College of Engineering, Kottarakara (66.37).

Two engineering colleges could not touch the 40 percentage mark in the examination. Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanad finished last with 21.57 per cent pass. MG College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram could manage only 33.8 per cent pass.

Colleges that scored below the 50 percentage mark include School of Engineering, Thrikkakara (49.83); College of Engineering, Perumon (49.35); College of Engineering, Thalassery (44.39); Co-operative Institute of Technology, Vadakara (44.6); TKM Institute of Technology, Kollam (46.8); and College of Engineering, Attingal (44.74).

The pass percentage of other colleges are as follows: Sarabhai Institute of Science and Technology at Thiruvananthapuram (54.43); College of Engineering, Kallooppara (54.68); College of Engineering, Kidangoor (51.25); College of Engineering, Thrikaripur (55.16); and College of Engineering, Munnar (50.82).
