The Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) has imposed strict restrictions on visitors and patients’ relatives in the hospital. This will help regulate crowd, enable ease of access to patients, and reduce the possibility of patients getting infections, a statement issued by the hospital here on Saturday said.

The statement said an estimated 4,000 people, including patients, visited the RCC daily. If every patient was allowed to bring an additional helper with him/her, it would hamper the hospital’s patient services substantially. The RCC had appealed to the public to cooperate as these regulations were intended to enhance patients’ safety and security.
