A collection of crude weapons was discovered by women working on a Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme project on a plot near Ponnad at Mannancherry near here on Saturday. The weapons were crude axes shaped out of bicycle parts and were found on a plot belonging to one Aboobaker, the police said. The police said they suspected the weapons belonged to the Popular Front of India workers whose houses in the area were raided recently. — Staff Reporter
