THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Priority Credit Disbursement by banks in Thiruvananthapuram as at the end of the first half of the fiscal 2005-06 crossed Rs.1,671 crores against the annual target of Rs.1,775.17 crores.

The achievement is 94 per cent. This was announced at the district-level review committee of banks on Monday by the Indian Overseas Bank.

District Collector N. Ayyappan presided over the meeting.

The services sector recorded the highest quantum by disbursing Rs.1,180.73 crores, while the agricultural sector registered Rs.461.20 crores followed by the industries sector at Rs.29.55 crores.
