Kochi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court here on Monday dismissed a bail application filed by Abdul Halim, third accused in the Kozhikode twin bomb blasts cases. The explosions occurred at the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and the mofussil bus stations, both on Mavoor Road, in a gap of 10 minutes on March 3, 2006.The Union Home Ministry has handed over the case to the NIA following the arrest of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative Thadiyantavide Nazir alias Ummer Haji from the Bangladesh border. Nazir, wanted in several terror-linked cases in the country and murder cases in Kannur district, is the first accused in the Kozhikode explosion cases. — Special Correspondent
