The Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC) has invited applications for training courses in palliative care, which are organised in association with the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and the Palliative Care Initiative in Kannur (PIK).
Those who have completed B.Sc. nursing, general nursing and midwifery courses may apply for the Basic Certificate Course in Palliative Nursing of six-week duration. Nursing staff working in the public or private sector may also apply.
For the three-month Basic Certificate Course in Palliative Auxiliary Nursing, those who have completed SSLC or Plus Two in science subjects with a work experience of at least a year in nursing may apply. Applicants should not have crossed 40 years, the release said.
Application forms can be had from the MCC office. The last date for submitting applications is April 28 and the classes will commence in May. Selection will be based on an interview to be held on April 30. For details, visit www.mcctly.org or contact at 99475 47102, the release said.
