KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala has said that new faces will get prominence in selection of candidates for Assembly elections.

He told reporters on the sidelines of a State camp of the Kerala Students' Union at Thlikkulam here on Sunday that the percentage of new faces in the list of candidates was yet to be decided.

Asked about the JSS, Mr. Chennithala said that JSS was still a part of the UDF. “I hope Ms. Gouri will take part in the Kerala Mochana Yatra,” he added.

Replying to a question, he said that the AICC would soon take a decision on K. Muraleedharan's re-entry into the Congress. “Technical issues are perhaps causing the delay. Opposition to his re-entry into the party has come down. The reason: the stand he adopted during the local body elections,” he added.
