The Congress party on Thursday officially demanded the convening of the State Assembly to regularise as many as 25 ordinances. Congress legislature party secretary K.C. Joseph urged Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan to convene the State Assembly instead of taking cover under the constitutional provision of a six-month period between House sessions. He said the LDF was afraid to face the Assembly in the backdrop of the recent electoral setback.
