PALAKKAD: A high-level committee constituted by the State government to assess the extent of damage caused by the operations of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Ltd. at Plachimada has invited complaints and suggestions from affected people and other members of the public, organisations, people’s representatives, scientists, environmentalists and so on.
K. Jayakumar, Additional Chief Secretary, who chairs the committee, in an official release here, said that complaints on damage to agriculture, animal husbandry, drinking water, public health, environment, groundwater resources could be filed.
He said the panel was appointed to evaluate the damages and suggest compensation to the victims.
The complaints should be filed before September 30, with the Director, Groundwater Department, Jala Vignan Bhavan, Ambalamukku, Kowdiar Post, Thiruvanathapuram – 695 003 (e-mail: email@example.com), or with District Officer, Groundwater Department, A-10, Municipal T.B.
