Various schools in the city have returned good performance in the ICSE and ISC examinations, the results of which were declared on Tuesday.

At St. Thomas Residential School, 170 students appeared for the Class XII (ISC) examinations. Of the 142 students in the science stream, 126 secured distinction and 16 got first class.

Sharanya Mahadevan was the school topper with 95.4 per cent marks.

In the commerce stream, out of the 28 students presented by the school, 23 secured distinction and five got first class.

In the Class X examinations (ICSE), of the 166 students presented by the school, 157 students secured distinction and nine got first class.

Megha R. Raju emerged the school topper scoring 96.9 per cent marks.

At Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kunnumpuram, where 76 students wrote the ICSE examinations, 55, secured distinction and 20 got first class. One student secured second class. For the ISC examinations, 20 of the 38 students secured distinction, while 18 got first class.

At Loyola School, 49 of the 50 students who wrote the ICSE examinations secured distinction and one got first class. For the ISC examinations, 42 of the 45 students secured distinction and three got first class.
