A discussion on ‘Resurgence of Malabar through knowledge–based industries’ is being organised by the State council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at Taj Gateway Hotel on September 21.

The programme is part of CII’s efforts to go beyond its business agenda and identify corporate citizenship programmes with emphasis on IT industry.

The CCI has also decided to start a zonal council in north Kerala in view of the substantial increase in CII membership in the region. Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod, and Malappuram districts will come under the CII North Kerala Council.

The CII theme for 2013-14 is “Accelerating economic growth through innovation, transformation, inclusion, and governance”.
