Nedumbassery: The Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has decided to restore the user development fee chargeable from air passengers. This was decided at a meeting of the company director board convened here on Thursday evening ahead of its 15th Annual General Meeting in Ernakulam on Friday.

The meeting also decided to set up a taxi link at the airport for the upcoming Coast Guard enclave in Kochi. A decision to start the preliminary discussions regarding the selection of investors in the aviation industry based in the industrial park proposed by CIAL was also a made.

In the absence of the company chairman V.S. Achuthanadan, the meeting was presided over by Fisheries Minister S. Sarma and was attended by Chief Secretary Neela Gangadharan, among others.
