KOTTAYAM: Three children rescued from their Austrian born mother, were sent to new guardians by the Chief Judicial Magistrate court on Friday. While David (15) and Sultan (13) were sent to the juvenile home, their younger sister Jasmine (10) was sent to the St. Joseph Children’s Home. The children were born to an Austrian mother and a Malayali father, who are now estranged. The four were staying at a home at Thellakom, with the mother working as a teacher in one of the private self-financing schools. The police took action on intimation from the Central authorities who were alerted by the Austrian Embassy in New Delhi , based on an email from the eldest son who claimed that she was not looking after the children properly, the police said.
