KOCHI: Over 50 children were recently taken through popular stories from the Panchatantra, Tenali Raman etc., at a story telling and reading session organised in connection with the International Children’s Book Day celebrations organised at Kochi by Paico.

Among the Tenali Rama tales was one in which a lazy Rama seeks a boon from Goddess Kali. Another story that the children found very interesting was the one in which Tenali Rama fooled two thieves when it was drought in Vijayanagar.Animal tales dominated the famous stories from Panchathantra that the children learned.

Later, they were asked to solve puzzles, based on the stories. They also participated in a quiz competition where they had to say the moral of each story that they learned. Firms sponsored gifts for the students.
