KOTTAYAM: Green Valley Spices and Tourism Festival at Nedumkandom will be inaugurated by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan on April 14, organisers said.

The eight-day festival will have seminars, cultural events, conducted tours as part of the programmes.

The festival will get under way with a cultural pageantry and will be declared open by Mr. Achuthanandan in the evening.

The agriculture seminar, scheduled for the next day, will have Minister for Agriculture Mullakkara Ratnakaran as the chief guest.

Women's seminar

The women's seminar on April 19, Spice Tourism seminar on April 20 and Animal Husbandry seminar on April 21 will be inaugurated by Minister for Health P K Sreemathy, P.J. Joseph, MLA, and Minister for Food and Civil supplies C. Divakaran respectively.

Minister for Home Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will inaugurate the valedictory session on April 22, organisers said.
