KALPETTA: V.N. Saseendran, vice-president of Poothadi grama panchayat, alleged here on Sunday that he was prevented by Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) activists from meeting Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan to submit a memorandum at the inaugural function of an Ayurvedic mobile medical unit of Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, at the Government High School Auditorium, Irulam, near Pulpally, on Sunday.

Mr. Saseendran alleged that though he had secured the permission of police officials to meet the Chief Minister to submit a memorandum on his “abduction and related issues,” he was prevented by the CPI(M) activists.
