The Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry has welcomed the State budget which, it said, does not increase tax.

This will be a boost to trade and help the business community, said Deepak L. Aswany, Chairman of the Chamber in a release here.

President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry P. Prathapachandran said in a statement that the budget contained several proposals for strengthening various welfare schemes.

The Finance Minister had given due consideration to the traffic problems in Kochi. The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry commented the Finance Minister for the budget. A statement issued by Anand Menon, president, said the chamber welcomed the budget, which did not put any additional tax burden.
