The Chamber of Commerce, Trivandrum, has urged the Union and the State governments to intervene to solve the problems faced by those engaged in export through the Thiruvananthapuram international airport. In a statement here, chamber president E.M. Najeeb and secretary M. Reghuchandran Nair said a new cargo complex and other facilities had not been created although a new terminal had been set up on the city side. This would lead to innumerable problems as the cargo would have to be moved through the perimeter road from the KSIE's cargo complex to the Chakka side. The transport of perishables through the perimeter road was time-consuming and not feasible.
