: The second death anniversary observance of C.G. Ramalingam, founder of Palakkad District Textile Labour Union, was inaugurated by Vijayan Kunisseri, general secretary of the Textile Labour Union here on Saturday. Addressing the meeting, Mr. Kunisseri said Ramalingam, who was a leading lawyer in Palakkad, was in the forefront of the fight to get legal protection for wages and other benefits of textile workers. The meeting was presided over by S. Kaladharan, secretary of the union. It was addressed by union president R. Anand, secretary T.V. Rajan, among others. — Staff Reporter
