Karipur airport

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers raided the Customs office premises at the Calicut International Airport at Karipur here and recovered 21 passports and unaccounted cash of Rs.46,000. The raid started in the morning and continued through the evening. The raid followed complaints by some passengers about alleged fleecing by the Customs officials. A woman passenger from Kannur had complained to the Customs Commissioner after she was reportedly harassed by the Customs officials. — Staff Reporter
