KOLLAM: Electioneering came to a close at 5 p.m. in Kollam on Thursday. After hectic campaign activity, involving more than a hundred addresses each at different points in their respective constituencies, the candidates finally called it at day on Thursday. At each constituency headquarters, supporters of the Left Democratic Front and United Democratic Front organised processions.

At 5 p.m., the blaring sound system atop the vehicles used for electioneering fell silent.
