KOLLAM: The Kerala State Electricity Board has called upon consumers not to be lavish with power consumption. In a statement, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Kollam Electrical Circle K. Prabhakaran Nair said that control in power consumption was imperative for avoiding power supply disruptions on account of addition load.

He suggested that power consumption be controlled between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Illuminations and displays using electricity should be cut down to the maximum possible extent. Mr. Prabhakaran called for the sincere cooperation of all consumers in the connection. It was also informed that for the convenience of KSEB consumers, all section offices would accept bill payment on August 29 in spite of that day being a holiday.
