Thiruvananthapuram: The Trivandrum Residents' Apex Council (TRAC) has welcomed the budget presented by Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac in the Assembly on Friday. A statement released by the council said that the budget touched the people's psyche though people-friendly projects.
The Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce hailed the allocation of Rs.125 crore made in the budget for infrastructure development of the Vizhinjam project and the concessions given to the construction, tourism and IT sectors.
However, the chamber said that the absence of a package for the industrial sector was a disappointment. The Kerala Students Union in a statement said the budget neglected the welfare and demands of students and the youth.
