PATHANAMTHITTA: The ‘mela’ organised by Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) at Ezhamkulam, near Adoor, on Thursday turned out to be a big draw.

According to C. Sasidharan, BSNL General Manager, the ‘mela’ provided a platform for the company staff to interact with the customers, besides giving on-the-spot registration for new landline, mobile and Wireless in Local Loop connections and also redressing subscribers’ grievances.

Ezhamkulam panchayat president K. Prasanakumar inaugurated the mela in the morning.

Face-to-face

A face-to-face programme organised as part of ‘mela’ was inaugurated by Chengara Surendran, MP.

Enadimangalam grama panchayat president P.K. Narayanan, Pazhakulam Madhu, Therakathu Mani, Rajalakshmi and D. Saji, all District Telecom Advisory Committee members, led the face-to-face programme discussions.

According to P.T. Thomas, Public Relations Officer, as many as 2,000 people attended the BSNL ‘mela’ on Thursday.
