Offers include new phone connections on demand without registration charges
Prizes on offer for SIM cards with one-year validity coupon
ALAPPUZHA: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is organising a BSNL Mela at its customer service centre near the taluk office in Cherthala on October 17 and 18.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, BSNL Alappuzha general manager T. Natarajan said the mela, which would be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., would have various services and special offers for both landline and mobile phone customers.
The basic phone offers would include new phone connections (landline/WLL) on demand without registration or installation charges, with the WLL connection to be provided on the same day.
A waiver of 20 per cent of the monthly plan charge for six months for new broadband connections taken before October 31, reduced annual rent plans (Rs.600 for rural, Rs.1,200 for urban and Rs.2,160 for two years) and broadband connection on demand at Mavelikkara Karuvatta, Pallipad, Veeyapuram, Arattupuzha, Vallikunnam, Edathua, Kavalam, Nedumudi, Arthunkal and Thycattussery would also be offered.
For mobile customers, one month’s fixed charge for new post paid connections would be waived while purchase of a one-year validity voucher would fetch a free pre-paid SIM card. There would also be discounts of 4 per cent on recharge and top-up cards while the discount would be 7 per cent for ITC/Call Now cards. Ten prizes would be on offer for SIM cards with one-year validity coupon while the purchase of a mobile handset with SIM and one-year validity coupon would get the buyer one prize, Mr. Natarajan said.
