Tributes to Veliyam Bhargavan

Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) State president Panakkad Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal said in a communication here on Wednesday that the deceased CPI leader Veliyam Bhargavan was one who firmly stood for values in politics. “Also, he had the nerve to fight any crucial issues on his convictions and his death would be a loss to Kerala politics,” Mr. Thangal said. The IUML leader also recalled that the CPI leader had maintained very warm relations with the League and tried to keep that bond even after the split in the Communist party.—Staff Reporter
