KOCHI: The Kadambrayar tourism project, located 15 kms from the district collectorate, is set to get a boost with the launch of boating facilities.

The first phase of the development project is over.

In the second phase, three types of boats will be introduced — pedal boats, motor boats and a houseboat, said M.M. Monayi, MLA, while addressing reporters here on Tuesday.

The boats will be launched by Water Resources Minister N.K. Premachandran on Friday.

A 750-metre walkway has been planned between the tourist locale and Veegaland and this will later be extended by another 500 metres.

A hanging bridge too has been planned at the site, the MLA said.
