Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president V. Muraleedharan has said that political parties and others should be free to organise public meetings along public roads. The traditional style and practice in the country was to organise protests and public meetings at places where people would notice them. They could be organised without causing disturbance to traffic and members of the public. Denial of opportunities to organise such meetings would amount to denial of freedom of expression, he said. — Special Correspondent
