Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president V. Muraleedharan said here Saturday that the BJP would orgnaise dharnas demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy over the solar scam on July 29 and August 2.

While elected representatives of BJP would offer the dharna on July 29, State leaders of the party would offer satyagraha on August 2.

Marches would be organised to government offices in all Assembly constituencies.

The State president said that the BJP had no objection if the UDF formed another Ministry. But the tainted ministry led by Mr. Oommen Chandy should go.

Replying to a question, Mr. Muraleedharan said that Mr. K. Surendran had raised allegations against ministers as general secretary of the party and he had all support of the party. There were no issues over this in the party, and party’s agitations were fuelled by Mr. Surendran’s allegations also.

He said that the leadership meeting of the party, held here on Saturday, had charted a 200-day campaign plan with a view to the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. There is also an alternate 100-day plan to be put into action in case the election is advanced. Party leader A. N. Radhakrishnan had been put in charge of implementation of the plan as convener.

The party planned to conduct conventions in all Lok Sabha constituencies before September end.
