A demonstration organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against the delay in

launching the functioning of the Swami Vivekananda Chair at the Mahatma Gandhi University campus on Thursday turned unruly with a few agitators clashing with varsity employees who were conducting an Onam celebration. Alleging that the celebrations were intended to disrupt the demonstration, certain BJP activists manhandled a percussionist who was hired for the function, the police said.
