KOCHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party will organise a fast in Ernakulam on November 7 as part of its campaign against terrorism, said BJP district president Nedumbassery Ravi.

Talking to mediapersons, Mr. Ravi said that the party State president P.K. Krishnadas will inaugurate the programme at 10 a.m. near the Town Hall.

The party will take out a march to the Kanayannoor Taluk office on November 11. Senior party leader O. Rajagopal will inaugurate the agitation. The district unit of the party will take out a vehicle campaign in the district from December 2 to 9 highlighting the fight against growing terrorist tendencies. Mr. Ravi will lead the campaign.

The party has also demanded a ban on NDF and PDP. Mr. Ravi accused the State government of adopting a soft stand towards terrorists. Though the CPI (M) State secretary has stated that the NDF was recruiting youth for terrorists, the government has not come forward for banning the organisation, he said.
