Kochi: The National Investigation Agency Special Court (CBI Court-II) here on Thursday relaxed the condition set by the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court while granting bail to Soofiya Maudany, an accused in the case relating to burning of a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation Bus at Kalamassery in 2005.

The condition set by the Sessions Court was that she should not leave Ernakulam district. Soofiya sought to relax this condition to enable her to visit her ailing husband who is undergoing treatment in Thiruvananthapuram as well as her mother.

The special court, while relaxing the condition, directed Soofiya to inform NIA officials of her whereabouts while visiting her husband and mother.

She was also directed not to influence or intimidate prosecution witnesses.

The special court, meanwhile, remanded in judicial custody the suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba operative T. Nazir and two other accused in the 2006 Kozhikode twin bomb blasts cases.
