Nedumbassery: International flight services to the Cochin airport were disrupted in the early hours of Tuesday due to poor visibility caused Baby bad weather conditions.

Oman Air flight (WY 827) from Muscat, scheduled to land here at 6.15 a.m., was diverted to Thiruvanathapuram and later returned here at 9.50 a.m. Jessira flight (J9 486) between Kuwait and Kochi via Dubai, after taking a diversion to Mumbai, arrived here late by more than five hours at 12.50 p.m. The flight was expected to depart from here in late hours of Tuesday.

The Air India express flight from Sharjah (IX 412), after being re-routed to Thiruvananthapuram arrived her at 11.20 a.m. as against the scheduled time of 7.40 a.m. The Air India flight from Abu Dhabi (IX 452), that was scheduled to arrive at 8 a.m., landed here only at 11.10 a.m. Some of the domestic flight services were also affected by the bad weather conditions.

Airport officials attributed the low visibility to the weather conditions in the morning hours.
