PALAKKAD: Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspectors in the district will go on strike on Monday demanding action against those who were involved in an attack on Faizal, Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspector of Pattambi at his office and later at the hospital in which he was admitted.

In a statement here on Sunday, Kerala Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspectors’ Association President R. Saratchandran said that no action was taken against Suresh and his gang who were responsible for the attack on Mr. Faizal on May 8. The statement said that some vested interests who were opposed to the digital metering in autorickshaws introduced by the government were trying to prevent its implementation at Pattambi.
