THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Southern Railway will introduce an additional sleeper coach in train no. 6603/6604-Mangalore Central-Thiruvananthapuram Central-Mangalore Central Maveli Expresses and the 6629/6630-Thiruvananthapuram Central-Mangalore Central-Thiruvananthapuram Central Malabar Expresses.

The additional coach will be introduced in the 6603-Mangalore Central-Thiruvananthapuram Central Maveli Express from February 10. The coach will be attached to the 6604-Maveli Express from February 13.

The sleeper coach will be added in the 6629-Thiruvananthapuram Central-Mangalore Central Malabar Express from February 11. The 6630-Malabar Express will have an additional sleeper coach from February 12.

According to a Southern Railway release, one additional coach will be introduced on a permanent basis in 28 passenger trains operating in the Palakkad railway division. The augmentation has already started in a phased manner and all the 28 trains will be having one more coach by February 8.

Among the trains are 0624-Mangalore Central-Kozhikode Passenger, 0625/0622-Kozhikode-Kannur-Kozhikode Passengers, 0619-Kozhikode-Kannur Passenger, 0627-Kannur-Cheruvathur Passenger, 0629-Cheruvathur-Mangalore Central Passenger, 0628/0623-Mangalore-Kannur-Mangalore Passenger, 0610/0611-Kannur-Coimbatore-Kannur Passengers, 0653/0654-Shoranur-Nilambur Passengers and 0645/0646-Shoranur- Nilambur Passengers.
