THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The new website of the state committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) was launched here at the organisation’s office by Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

The site—‘’—works entirely on free software and has been designed by A. R. Mahesh of Marrs Info Solutions, a press note issued here said.

The site contains detailed information about the origins of the organisation, its aims, its constitution and the campaigns it has undertaken so far.

There are also links to the websites of district committees of the DYFI, the web site of the CPI(M) and that of the Desabhimani daily, among others.

The site would also have regular news updates containing details of agitations and campaigns that the organisation plans to launch in the future.

The site also has a forum where user groups can post messages and keep themselves updated about the DYFI.

All-India Treasurer of the DYFI Pushpendra Tyagi spoke at the inaugural ceremony.

State secretary T. V. Rajesh and president M.B. Rajesh were also present.

The net edition of the DYFI’s monthly publication ‘Yuvadhara’ would also be soon launched, the press note added.
