A 46-year-old man hailing from Tamil Nadu was arrested after nearly 3 kgs of ganja was found in his possession on Saturday.
According to the officials of the Excise Department, Easwaran, hailing from Cumbam, was apprehended at the private bus station in Nagampadom when he attempted to sell the banned substance.
The ganja, which was neatly packed in a plastic bag and believed to be worth Rs. 25,000, was confiscated from the accused. The operation was conducted by a team led by Kottayam Excise Circle Inspector Rajan Babu and Range Inspector Suresh, on a tip-off.
